Two Weeks in a Row, Ha!

Yes I did just blog two weeks in a row. Last week was good. Tuesday was zone conference. Focus for me this last week was charity. In Corinthians chapter 13 Paul writes that a man could possess all things with the strength to over come all things, the faith to move mountains and the wisdom to.... be very smart. However if he lacks charity he shall be as sounding brass or a tinkling symbol. I imagine a dude walking around outside, especially on UCI campus, with two brass symbols clashing them together or a little triangle instrument tinkling away and he would likely have the same success and fulfillment as a missionary who doesn't have charity for those he serves. Charity is key. And it is interesting what Moroni suggests in chapter 7 of the book of Moroni, to pray with all you heart to have this gift. Maybe for a lot of people (specifically me) that's what it comes down to. Few people naturally love all people the way Christ does. I think it would be one of greatest things if I could say I have charity, the pure love of Christ in me. Well its a work in progress! I Certainly love my faithful  fans who have read this far into my email :)

Love ya!

Elder Stevenson!

Happy Monday everybody. Last week was good. It was transfers got moved to a different apartment same area. I'm fine with staying here my whole mission but as of three days ago I've been in this area for 16 months haha it awesome! Anyway its been a struggle these last couple weeks to find new people to teach but our one progressing has been consistently coming to church every Sunday and it working towards baptism. She says she just wants to see a baptism and then she will be baptized. That should happen this week. Yesterday we had an amazing attendance at church. The branch council and us worked very hard to get everyone there and Many inactive members came which was amazing! What was probably the biggest factor however was elder Stevenson who chose to visit us that Sunday for sacrament (yes elder Stevenson the Apostle:) it was a very powerful meeting with all our us cramped in the RS room with an Apostle of the Lord. I have never had the privilege of shaking hands with an Apostle and it I still have not haha.  you would think anybody in a RS sized room with an Apostle would, but because of reasonable circumstances of duty over pleasure I missed it!

Well thats all from me till I write again in who knows how long

Love ya all have a great week

* As for the pictures this week that one is elder Stevenson can't see me I'm in the back corner
* Our new car with only 25 miles!?!?!
* spa day

New Yearسلام بر همگی، سال نو مبارک!

Last year went by fast. I'm at the point in my mission when most the people I knew in the mission are home. Granted I know few missionaries because I have not moved a muscle in the last.... well all of my transfers haha. Beginning of my mission, If I'm gonna be honest, I'd often wonder why I was in such a hurry to get out here and if i could compare the mission to a train i struggled a lot to try and catch up and stay on. But now that I've grown a bit I wish I could stick my foot out to try and slow the train down! I love Christ. I hope I'm  exhausted at the end with nothing left to give.
Anyways enough of that! I had a nice new years! Here are some pictures!

Merry Christmas!!

Hello everybody, merry Christmas. Its fun to be a missionary during Christmas time unfortunately with my experience the work has always been the slowest around this time of year. Oh well, we'll do our best.

Here's a funny story. Our relief society president sister Vida who is a legend and the most consecrated person I know was attempting to visit a sister from the branch who is very sick in the hospital but was stopped at the front desk and not allowed to proceed because it was past 6pm or some phony reason. Do that stop her? Nope. Mission impossible music started playing as she snuck past security and nurses all the way up the 7 flights of stairs.
How do you like that?

Have a week! (And in case I keep up my usually scheduled "weekly" email) have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

And yes the pic with the note is me bragging with righteousness!

Thanksgiving! note: Kai doesn't get member dinners so this is a BIG deal!

Short email this week.

Thanksgiving was nice. Spent it at the relief society presidents house. See pictures below
Currently making chicken Alfredo while listening to spirit of the season with sissel
Having a difficult time meeting with member and nonmember alike. Love the work though. Christmas will be exciting can't wait.
