This last week was great! I still don't speak Farsi very well but it's coming along :) I got my first "we're not interested" followed by a door slam! The members in the Farsi branch are a great bunch and they all have amazing conversion stories about escaping persecution in the middle east however, we are having a difficult time getting them all to church every week. Some of them just don't understand the importance of taking the sacrament every Sunday which is sad but it won't last long cause we are gonna Crack down on those happy dancing Persians haha! (In a kind and loving way;)
Holy smokes! Every car around here is one of four cars! A Tesla, a BMW, a preus, or a Porsche! And I guess the the occasional Lamborghini or mega crazy fancy features sports car. Besides that the only other car on the street is our car haha (but actually our mission car is pretty nice too:)
I made it past my first week in the field hooray!
Hey dad I learned how to tie a tie! Gone be the days of my pretied ties. Although I'd hate to untie some of em cause they have been tied for years! Plus I think it would be kinda funny if I gave one of these pre tied ties ties to my decedent's and they would be like "my great great grand pappy tied this here tie..." at that point how could you bring yourself to untie it?! Haha
Every day is a spiritual feast! Yesterday while I was part of a mock restoration lesson and the spirit was so very strong it was amazing!
I'll probably end it here. all you guys are amazing and I miss ya so much and I'm trying not to think about ya but it's hard sometimes
