Planting Seeds

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. I'd love to give a small report of this part of the Lord's vineyard. The other companionship of the Persian branch baptized their friend yesterday! It was a sweet experience. I had not participated in her teaching process.  But oddly enough I had met this same sister 8 months earlier when we had received her as a referral. I don't remember that contact at all. And I was told by my comp, who was there as well, that she had shown zero interest and frankly accepted a book of Mormon from us. Now here she is today baptized and confirmed. This was a valuable reminder to me to never take an "unsuccessful" contact as an unsuccessful contact. There is no such thing as an unsuccessful contact. Any commandment or prompting from God given to us obeyed, is a job well done. God will do the rest. I'm thinking about many small instances in my mission when either my comp and I felt impressed to knock some door or travel to some location and "nobody" was home or no one was outside. Did we fail? Of course not. We were where God wanted us to be to give us and some specific person a chance to meet. However just as the Holy Ghost is out there trying to impress us for good, the devil and his goons are there doing the exact opposite and the ball is then in their court to use their agency and choose.
Kinda an interesting thing to think about. Wonder if whenever us missionaries are out and about if God is influencing every single man woman and child to go outside so to run into us? Seems possible.

Tonight we will be have a lesson on the plan of salvation with our friend Maryam. She is scheduled to be baptized this Saturday so fingers crossed all will go well! She is a great sister who loves Jesus and has a genuine testimony of his Gospel. Do me a favor and pray for her right now!

Blows my mind how fast time is going. My trainer is about to die (mission language for a missionaries mission finishing).

Thank you for all your prayers and emails. If you feel like writing an email or sending treats to someone don't go to strangers :)

Hope to a bit more consistent with email writing and sending.

Thank you for reading
