Where Eagles Dare (in Iran??!!)

Salam everybody. Hope all is well. I'm not doing too bad. Last couple weeks have been great! I think I mentioned this in the last email but our friend maryam got baptized and a good part of her family was there. They were all touched by the spirit especially maryam's sister Mina. The following Sunday we set up a lesson with them for the next Thursday. Anyway for the lesson it was myself and one of the APs and Mina and Maryam and after talk about how amazing the baptism was we gave Mina a baptismal date for September 17th! She seemed a little nervous about it but she very much so wanted to be baptized. Please keep her in your prayers. Persian work is very young and the members are few and satan is trying to shut it down. We recently got news that all Persian work was shut down in England; which had the highest concentration of Persian elders any where. If satan had a mouth if punch it!

We have also heard that ol' Iran and the US are working out their differences which would help getting more Persian Saints (who don't know they're saints yet) here in the US so they can get baptized! This is unlikely but my hope is that Iran will magically become a religious tolerant country soon so I can be dropped in. I can see it in my mind. It would be a scene right out of the movie where eagle's dare, the part at beginning. It would my myself and several other Persian elders hand picked from all over the world flying 12,000 feet above Tehran at midnight. They'd parachute us in with a single box of books of mormons.
And rather then being triple agents and literally blowing up everything we touch, we'd just baptize the entire country of Iran!
(If you haven't seen Where eagles dare that is ok and it does not play a role in your exaltation.... but if you wanna watch a slightly cheesy, war movie with Clint Eastwood I would recommend it:)
With all jokes a side, I love being a missionary and Newport Beach is one of the best places every.

In Persian culture it is rude to not give guests food so we get showered with snacks and treats all the time. I'll send some pictures of a regular night's haul.

Possibly my favorite hymn is Brightly beams our Father's mercy. In it there is a line which says, "But to us He gives the keeping of the lights along the shore..."
Can think of any other way to say this without sounding corny but God has given each one of us a light that we can either keep to ourselves or use to brighten the lives of others and guide em back home.  Don't fear man, love God.
Love you all! Church is true
