One Year Already!

Hello everybody how are you? As of a couple of weeks ago I hit my one year mark wow! I remember at the beginning of my mission feeling pretty intimidated by the up coming two years and wishing that it was over! But now I wish time would slow down! Geez time is passing too fast. It's funny when you don't enjoy something time goes by very slowly, when you do enjoy something time goes too fast. Don't know what to do about the speed of my mission, maybe I should go back to not enjoying my time as a missionary to try and slow things down.... Too bad that's a terrible idea

Wasn't conference just the best? Listened to it mostly in persian which wasn't too bad I was able to understand much more then I did 6 months ago. We just watched it at the church. For the most part it was just us Persian elders watching it there. Most every one else (the members) watched it at home. We did have some of our nonmember friends watch it with us Sunday morning. Loved Elder Bednars talk about the importance of covenants and of course the pres Nelson's talks were amazing (may have snuck out my phone and listened to his in English >:) covenants do give us rest! I have never been bothered by the things the lord has asked us to do or not do but some people think the church is pretty restrictive and all the rules keep us under ol' president Nelson's thumb. If anything life is like the story of the three little pigs. God through the prophet wants us to build a house of brick cause he knows the wolf is coming. The world at this point does even care to build houses of straw or of sticks. If I learning anything from conference its that we better listen to the prophets voice and focus on Jesus christ.
Iran (the place where all the Persian people come from) is currently blowing up. You should look into it cause I wanna take a shower right now so I don't want to type out the last 59 years of Iranian history. Anyways basically all Persian people are on the streets protesting trying to spread awareness of the terrible situation of their country. Problem is they are speaking in Persian and quite frankly most people are pretty ignorant of goings on in the middle east so I'm sure most people when they see the protests and rallies think, "I wonder what the Mexicans want with Iran?..."
If you haven't, you should look into the situation.

I love you all God is in his work. If I didn't say this earlier, I don't want my mission but it doesn't have to. I can be a missionary the rest of my life. Cough cough you can too cough
Also happy they played my favorite hymn, brightly beams our fathers mercy.

Here's pictures from the last year:
